Bijoy 2003 Bangla typing software free 127

The first free Bangla typing software. Bangladesh is a country in South Asia, one of the world’s quickest developing economies and the 8th most populated nation on earth. In spite of its population, Bangladesh has been an area of many conflicts with nearby India and Pakistan. It is also the home-country of Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus. Several hundred years ago, a group from northwest India known as the Bengali people migrated to Bengal and established a kingdom at Gauda (now north Bengal), which became a center for Brahminism. The Gauda kingdom was later annexed and destroyed by the Mughal empire in the 17th century. In this period, the Bengali language began to appear as a literary language for the first time. In 1971, Bangladesh declared independence from Pakistan following a war that resulted in British withdrawal from India. In 1972, East Pakistan seceded as Bangladesh, which has its own constitution and parliament. Bangladesh is a parliamentary republic with a complex political history which includes constitutional changes, political unrest and other problems. During its first two decades of independent existence, political uncertainty affected its economy significantly. In the late 1990s, the Bangladeshi economy improved significantly, and this chart shows its GDP growth since 1960. In 2001, it had a per capita income of only US$260. In recent years, there has been some economic progress; but in 2006 its unemployment rate was 4.2% and its GDP per capita was $1,000 (in current dollars). Bangladesh is a developing country and has a goal to become a middle-income country by 2021 and develop as an industrialized nation by 2041. Bangladesh's economy consists mainly of agriculture, light industry and fishing; clothing is its largest export item earning about $14 billion in 2006-2007 (and 70% of Bangladesh's exports go to India alone). The most important industries in Bangladesh include textiles, shipbuilding and food processing. Bangladesh is one of the world's largest producers of jute and jute products, and the country has a high potential for growth in the production of bamboo and cane-based industries. The state-owned Bangladesh Textile Mills Corporation dominates the nation’s textile industry. In recent years, some significant strides have been made to diversify the country's agricultural production to include more export items such as frozen shrimp, basmati rice and pulses. At present, it has achieved self-sufficiency in food grains. Bangladesh's main export markets are India, China, Japan, South Korea and Thailand. In 2005, it exported 2.73 billion US dollars worth of goods to these markets while importing 2.49 billion US dollars from them. The country has been a member of the World Trade Organization since 1995 and a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations since 1999. In 2006-2007 it had a trade deficit with India worth 1 billion USD while importing an equal amount from that nation. eccc085e13
